Orders placed after 1pm PST M-F or weekends will ship the next business day. To get your order to you as quickly as possible, we ship using UPS, FedEx or USPS depending on destination, size of order & when the order is processed. As a general guideline, regular GROUND shipping can take up to: Southern California, 1-2 business days | West Coast, 2-3 business days | Mid-West, 3-4 business days | East Coast, 4-5 business days

HI, AK and US Territories: allow 5 - 7 days.
Rural area delivery may take an additional day.
APO, Military Bases, US Territories: allow 10 - 14 days.
UPS & FedEx do not deliver on the weekends & they do not count them as business days. If you choose USPS Priority Mail, please allow 2 - 5 days and provide a valid postal delivery address. Items ship from our Southern California Candy Warehouse.
We ship internationally to over 40 countries. You should receive your order in 4-10 business days; depending on how fast the Customs Department in that particular country clears your order. Because of the unpredictable nature of shipping around the world, chocolate & other heat sensitive items can not be guaranteed.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS: You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from CandyCrate.com, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country to which you are receiving/sending the goods.
Warm Weather Shipping
Chocolates, Gummies, & Mellowcremes need special handling during the months of April through September, or whenever the weather is warm. To assure that your order will arrive without melting during warm weather, all orders containing any chocolate, gummy or mellowcreme items, must be shipped as outlined below. You must purchase EXPEDITED, Second or Next Day air when purchasing heat sensitive products shipping to warm regions or during warm months. Your items will be packed in an insulated box with the appropriate quantity of re-usable Ice-Brix at no additional charge when expedited shipping is selected. Arrange to have your package delivered where someone is able to receive your package -- perhaps a business address. UPS/FedEx may leave packages on your porch if no one is home. Candy Crate will not be responsible for orders left outside.
Perishable orders can only be shipped Monday - Thursday to arrive by Friday. Since APO, FPO & US Territory orders must be sent through the USPS, we cannot accept orders for heat sensitive products going to those regions during April through September.

Shipping Fees & Information
Shipping fees are based on the weight and destination of your order. Therefore, you will not see these fees until you enter your items into your shopping cart and start the checkout process. A $12 address correction fee (the same fee we are charged from UPS/FedEx) will be charged for invalid shipping addresses. S&H charges will not be refunded for returned packages. Weather related delays are not covered by our guarantee.
To expedite shipping, some smaller items and orders going to rural area will be shipped USPS Priority (1-3 business days). If you can not receive mail through the US Post Office, please let us know. Cross-country ground shipping can take up to 6 business days to arrive. Please provide us with complete and accurate delivery information including an accurate zip code. A phone number is recommended if possible to assist delivery services in promptly delivering your order. Please note that shipping prices may be in error when the following occurs: items that are large, orders that weigh over 100 pounds, orders that include multiple boxes. We will contact you prior to shipping if this occurs.
Taxes are assessed only on goods valued at $20 CAD (about $15 USD) or more and are generally about 8-15% (depending on the province); a $5 handling fee is added when an item must be taxed. When taxes are charged, Customs sticks a taxes-owing form on the box and the box is held by the Post Office as a COD -- recipient pays the tax/handling when the package is retrieved.
